It’s a good point. The buyers fee will be forced to the forefront of the negotiation. Realtors claim it has always been up for negotiation, but that’s arguable.
I am seeing mixed information on the exact timing of when the buyer finds out if the seller is covering the buyer fee. Is it before an offer is made or only after? I was under the impression that the buyer will know if their commission is being covered fully or partially before putting in an offer (not available on MLS, but agents will talk).
