We decided California was too difficult, and I received a job offer I really wanted in Washington State (not Puget Sound). My wife wasn't thrilled, but went along with it. We compromised, so I went higher on the house budget, so she got the home she wanted, and I got the job I wanted. The tax savings helped afford the home.

So, TLDR. Same wife, moved to Washington State, bought a home there, and had a baby.
