[Title edited for clarity - moderator oldcomputerguy]

We are looking for short term investments and came across the German Pfandbriefe. I am familiar with the general concept (similar to Danish mortgage bonds) have not found if they are generally callable or not. This is a big thing about the Danish bonds.

Anyone in the know?
I do not. The underlying asset is shipping, aviation loans + mortgages. I assume German mortgages are only repayable if floating rate? If fixed rate, there would be a penalty. It is American mortgage backed securities where mortgage holders can refinance - hence early repayment/ extension risk.

I did not know about that feature in Danish Covered Bonds.

Google not point you anywhere interesting?
