Can you share your thinking behind what you did this year with AAPL, e.g. taxes, and your new allocation? Thanks Tony, I would not say I am a role model as most folks here are risk averse.Hi Retire2022 -Tony a bit of adjustments were requiredHi retire2022 -New All Time High 2.833 million since retired, at 63 with pension.
YTD 32.71%, 12 months 31.38%, AA 87/13
Incredible return and you should be proud you have “enough” as Jack Bogle would say.
A simple portfolio of S&P 500, Vanguard Technology, and Apple stock did the job.
Others can learn much from this.
Best.
Tony
The above were numbers from Morningstar which was updated turned out to be as follows
AAPL 48.91%
VOO 26.32%
VGT 52.65%
cash 13%, Assets 87%
one year performance (M*) 33.11%
In Vanguard YTD has been reset to zero, One year is 34.20% or gain of 697,501, that said numbers were close and good enough.
Portfolio is at 2.8 million
You should be proud as you are a role model for other Bogleheads who are planning to one day successfully transition to retirement.
It can be done!
Hope you are well.
Tony
