Investing - Theory, News & General • Psychological impact of dividend paying stocks

What don't people get about Personal Finance? I was happily invested in Tax Managed funds during my working years. Unfortunately, I had to sell them due to family crisis during the Great Financial Crisis. Since then, I was nudged into early retirement and slowly and mostly through thrift, started rebuilding my taxable accounts. A little bit of taxable dividend income helps me at the moment. Most importantly, it's allowed me to leave my retirement accounts alone and to growing tax free. I'm still a bit aways from RMDs.

I never consider my self a wealth-envy type, and of course taxes are an important factor for many investors, but again, personal finance is personal. I guess it's one thing to say "there are many roads to Dublin", it's certainly not true here when it comes to discussions on dividend income.
