Personal Consumer Issues • Washing machine crapped out (Samsung)...

Gasket is actually pretty easy to replace on a lot of front loaders, should be a 15 minute job with the right tools.
The issue is with the laundry room that the pair is in - it's TINY and there's barely any room to work. I basically had to setup two step ladders so I could climb up and over the w/d (after cautiously pulling the washer out without crushing my fingers/limbs lol). So doing any sort of work on these things is already a huge PITA based on the limited amount of space. Fortunately, the control board is in a pretty easily accessible location that didn't require intensive disassembly of the washer.

Replacing the gasket seems a lot more involved and also seems that it will require decent amounts of working space both in front and behind. If I pull the washing machine forward to first access the back to unscrew the top panel, I won't have space to work in the front. So I envision it turning into a tedious situation where I'll be sliding the washer forward and backward multiple times between removing panels so I can have space to work on both sides.
I suppose machines are different, but on my front loader the gasket was done just sitting in front of the door. The machine didn't need to move. And it was in a space one machine wide, the dryer was opposite it to my back.
