I read it a week or so ago. I had trouble getting into the first part, but a quarter ways in, I was glad I stuck with it. A few of the same "usual suspect" characters, but he's mostly turned the page and retired from the Israeli secret service theme."A Death in Cornwall". This is the 24th book in the Gabriel Allon series by Daniel Silva. I read the first 23 books in the series over the past 6 months and enjoyed every one of them. First class entertainment.

I've read them all over the years and he writes a good story. I recommend this one.
I went from A Death in Cornwall to the Patterson/Lupica, Hard to Kill, the 2nd installment of their Jane Smith character. I enjoyed the first volume (12 Months to Live). I did not like this one and don't recommend it.
That's a surprise for me. I like Patterson and I like Lupica. It does get good reviews on Goodreads and amazon, but too many characters, too much filler, and too little actually going on. I had difficulty understanding what was going on and who the real villain was.
