Arr? How is suggesting that it's possible to retire with a lower target number ($3.2 million is a high number) telling people to make more money?
$3.2M supports $128k retirement for 30 years, hardly a ton of money.
About 75% of American household live on less income than that - so it is not the real barrier to comfortable retirement.
The median income of a family with kids is $120k
Single parent families are families too.

It’s conversations like this that make me wonder whether I should quit Bogleheads again
