Mostly just curious. I'm treating these all as spam. I don't click on or open any. I manually send all to spam; I do not unsubscribe from any of them.

But, I've been getting more of these, daily, all bypassing the spam filter. Three so far today from different addresses.

I keep getting mostly indecipherable emails e.g. "Transaction Record Successfully Closed IAOSSOUAMEA of Item"

From a name and gmail address I don't recognize, with an attached PDF labelled "BillIAOSSOUAMEA"

I googled "are attached PDFs in gmail safe", and get mostly results that suggest they have been scanned.

Any suggestions as to what the scam is about? virus? get me to call them? ???

There are many more of the usual variety (Amazon, netflix, you name it, ...) that are caught by the spam filter.

I've posted on another thread about the large number of spam texts I get daily, almost all political, but this is email.

Again, just curious.
Doesn't matter what the scam is about, never open a PDF from any email that has you even a tiny bit suspicious. And don't click links either of coures. Attachments and links can both be dangerous to your computer. Or they might be trying to get you to interact (for instance, call a phone number, or whatever) even if the PDF doesn't happen to be dangerous in and of itself. Some get through spam filters, not sure why.

For spam texts, block the phone numbers. It won't stop new ones coming, but will at least keep that one from texting you again.
