I had the front portion of the panoramic sunroom cracked while driving on the expressway. This happened about 3 weeks ago on my way to work. I heard a loud bang and tried looking for a chip on the front windshield and to my surprise, nothing happened to it.
I just had the gentleman who washes my vehicles come over and he pointed this large crack on the front portion of the panoramic sunroof. That loud band I heard on the expressway actually hit the panoramic sunroof on my Ford F150.
I got a quote from the local Ford dealership to get it replaced and it was about 1.2k for parts and labor. My insurance deductible is only $500 if I go in that direction.
Will my insurance premium increase for such a claim to the point that I should just fix it on my own or should I just go through my insurance and risk a premium increase?
