With respect to the 60/40 (or any xx/yy), I can see some value tilt as long as one can stomach that. For bonds, I can see buying inflation linked bonds along with nominal bonds. Or one can just stick to a pure Taylor 3 fund approach.
The other more esoteric vehicles I will leave to the professionals. Some may win, but I bet it'll be like how active vs passive plays out in the long run.
So, from my perspective it's "Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss." More complication increases the chances of regret.
