Personal Investments • Thoughts on Which tIRA Funds to Roth Convert

I think you are asking the wrong question. I think you need to answer only two questions.

1. What do you want your total asset allocation to look like?
Since all these are in tax-advantaged accounts, you could easily just sell off everything and move cash into your Roth account for the conversion and then buy the funds in each account that match your asset allocation goals.

2. What types of fund do you want in each account?
As others have mentioned, generally you would want assets that will appreciate the most in your Roth. So stock in Roth and income funds in tIRA.

I would simplify it all. You likely only need 2-3 fund in each account.
