This is why I tell people that "the only timeframe that matters is the time you have left on this earth" whenever I hear that "equities always rise over time."During it Andrew Tobias talked about remembering the day in 1966 when the Dow hit 1,000 for the first time. It did not finish there, hit it intra trading day.
He said it did not hit 1,000 again until 1982!
