I’m 52, my wife one year younger, both physicians.
We’ve been half time for a while now, like 10 years. I’ve been part time almost my entire career.
Still, been able to save/invest a little over 4 million, and own our home outright, valued ~1.2 million in a high col area.
She’s ready to retire now. I’m not sure when I’ll retire. Maybe another 3-8 years?
As long as I have time to travel and can be physically active, I’m content working my current schedule. I see too many of my peers sacrifice their health for career, which seems hypocritical.
