This is an easy one, you don't have a job, take one.
From a pure "how easy is it to get fired from my job" standpoint, the election has no bearing you on you. You would be in at least a one-year (probably two-year) probationary status no matter the administration.
Look, it's like anywhere else in this economy: if you're smart and diligent it'll work out long term. Federal workforce is graying rapidly, much of the attrition will come from retirements... and the world will keep turning. Issues aren't going away, complexity isn't going away, and while you're in the executive branch Congress controls much of you security (for better or worse!).
