I'd send the emails to a spam folder or unsubscribe.I purchased a Dell PC through Costco just after this thread was posted. It did not arrive when scheduled, probably related to Thanksgiving. I noticed that the purchase includes "free" McAfee and something called Personal Word or something like that. Immediately after purchase, emails began coming about activating these items with explanations that the "free" was one year. I assume activation would include auto-renewal unless cancelled, and I do not want either item. Does anyone know if the marketers make it difficult enough to not accept these items as to require activation prior to deletion of the programs as opposed to a simple delete? Apparently, one or both of these programs are included with all Dell PC sales.
I'd go into settings and Add or Remove Programs and remove.
Are those on all Dell PC sales? I've never seen personal word. McAfee maybe. Anything that bugs me gets removed. I don't know if Dell does it but Microsoft 365 comes across my screen...probably by email. I'm a long time user of MS Office (365), so I report spam so that hopefully I'll never see those emails again.
Bottom Line: Stamp out junk! Report Spam!
