I do not think that is an accurate statement. Even if only one spouse works and they have had numerous bouts of no employment for months on end.... it happens that they could end up converting from TIRa to Roth at a high tax rate.It is only a problem for them since you are not going to pay their bills.
And if it doesn't, so what?
