The OP wants to invest in things you can't do in the free Solo 401k.Fidelity has no opening costs or annual fees.Lowest fees I know of are from MySolo401k. 1st year is $525, then $125 every year after. Those fees are deductible against self-employed income. There's also a $1500 tax credit spread out over 3 years. There are other providers who have lower 1st year fees, but by the 3rd year the fees surpass MySolo401k.
