I looked at your thread and I see where you plan to work until 65, expecting an excellent pension and SS, so you may well be in the situation where you pay taxes now at 22% or 12%, and 22% after retirement. If so, traditional vs Roth is likely a wash for you.I have an excellent pension to look forward to as well as I'm calculating around maybe $2-3MM retirement funds. Maybe I'm completely lost. I posted our situation a few years ago, here's the link. viewtopic.php?p=5867579&hilit=403b+vs+roth#p5867579
Hmmm, not many people are in a low tax bracket while working, save kind of medium amounts in retirement accounts, and then end up in a much higher bracket in retirement.
The kicker for many people is that they intend to retire well before 65, leaving quite a few years before SS and RMDs for Roth conversions, at a low tax rate.
Good luck!
