I distinctly remember that the option to increased speed limiter (yes, could have been 155, not 150) for the 4-series grand coupe required also selecting 245 back tires with increased speed rating.No BMW has a top speed unlock *to* 150mph.
Many BMW (and other high powered vehicles) have an imposed top speed of 155mph, because that’s at the major 250kph marker.
Pretty much all of them will already be shod on 186mph tires or better. The reason for the top speed limiter is because they can sell the software unlock as part of an options package, or sometimes just by itself.
Both 130 and 150/155 are way above the speed limit anywhere in the US, btw. As such, no driver will ever go near those.
