Maybe because all of us had similar thoughts about the 1990s (and most of the 1980s)... and then experienced 2000 and the ensuing 10 years happen.We have just experienced a 10 year period where the S&P 500 has returned 13% CAGR! Why no optimism on these FIRE threads?
