Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Prescription Drug [Pricing - cash price may be less than price through insurance]

Grocery stores offer store coupons. Like $5 off $50.

Do you use Google? Do you pay for email? Anything "free" uses your personal information. These aren't charities.
Grocery stores sell the product that they are giving you a discount on. This is an entirely different thing. An outside company should not have the right to adjudicate prices at store they do not own, on a product they do not own. They have injected themselves into a disjointed, complex market that have no right to control.
Have you heard of PBMs? They are used all over the place and do exactly that with drugs. They are a middle man.

Any pharmacy that wants to work with GoodRx can. If they don't want to they don't have to. I don't understand your point at all. You think every transaction is done between the seller and the manufacturer with no one in between? Wholesalers, distributors, etc. are very common.

If you don't agree with their TOS, then don't use them. Some people like saving money and don't care if GoodRx knows about a prescription they take. Heaven forbid there should be a data breach and people find out I have acid reflux.
