What changed is GPO was repealed. I'm a CSRS annuitant.What changed?
Old plan: DW waits until 70 to start SS. I get nothing.
New plan: I can get an amount equal to 1/2 of her FRA immediately. She would need to apply for her SS.
OpenSocialSecurity.com says apply now is best. Previously, it said DW should wait to age 68-70 (depends on inflation rate).
