aelfa captured probably the most pertinent question from the survey on the I-Bonds mega-thread in the following post: viewtopic.php?p=8198066#p8198066it looks like they are still trying to figure it out. I apologize for not capturing the questions. it seemed to have an intent that gifts would not sit for more than a year and if someone didn't accept the gift, how it would be handled.
My interpretation of that question is that they're considering implementing a "required delivery period" to prevent people from accumulating years of gift bonds in their gift box.
