Actually I don't know the case with stock orders. I only experimented with GABXX.So you can cancel an open order for stock orders? I didn’t even get that far. Even though I have a margin account, and I’ve held GABXX for over 30 days, the system wouldn’t let me buy any stocks. I even tried to sell some GABXX, thinking the system would then recognize that I would have enough cash for tomorrow’s settlement, and it still wouldn’t let me buy any stocks.I noticed this too. There is no option for you to cancel a mutual fund order online.
I too enabled margin and with my ETF assets, I thought I could purchase GABXX. But no, you can't. I called them and CS told me i can buy GABXX only if i have a cash balance. I can't purchase GABXX using margin first and then transfer in the money the next day for settlement.
