There are lots of reviews regarding the CVT transmissions from both Mazda and Honda, you may want to review before pulling the cord on either of these purchases. Mazda Sky-Active transmission are good and are not used in the CX-50 hybrid

I believe OP is looking at the Hybrid CR-V which doesn't use a CVT:

And the CX-50 Hybrid uses the Toyota powertrain from the RAV4 Hybrid.
