I think the con I see with this route is you're restricted to the automotive manufacturer, either with the dealership servicing or parts. It's more costly to do work at the dealership or buy OEM parts. Independent mechanic or other places that sell OEM/3rd party parts would still cost less money than using the automotive branded credit card at those specific places even with accounting for the CC point values.
