Also “disruptions to the normal functioning of US govt” may very well ameliorate “skyrocketing US debt”. Possibly so much so we will have some disinflation which will even benefit TIPS given the currently high real rates (similar to how TIPS fell recently even with inflation).
In any case, I’ve followed the ETF WIP and the daily action seems a little volatile to me. Instead I’ve kept TIPS but moved my nominals to BNDX to keep my Treasury exposure at least somewhat lower.
