While future tax rates are unknown, your assumptions seems probable about high tax rates in retirement.

Does 401k have a Roth / mega backdoor option that would allow deferred growth vs taxable LTCG?

If after 19 years you'd still have many years before electing Social Security (perhaps at 70), can model 401k traditional with Roth conversions during that period.
