You may find it impossible to invest in Germany. US tax laws require US domiciled (traded on a US exchange) funds, but EU regulations require funds for retail investors to have certain documentation that US funds don’t have. There is like one fund that follows the Dow Jones index and that is it.
A work around is to keep a US address at your broker and invest as you are now like a US person in the US.
