Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Primer on Paying Taxes With a Credit Card

I’m within Safe Harbor limits due to my estimated payments being at least 110% of last year’s tax, but I know that when I file my 1040, I will still owe about 3x my credit limit. Now that Pay1040 and ACI no longer accept 2024 estimated tax payments, what are my options breaking up my tax liability to pay with a credit card?

I know I can make one payment with a 4868 extension, and I can probably make one more “Current Tax Return” payment, which is usually done when you know the final balance owed on the 1040, but is it possible to make multiple extension payments or multiple “Current Tax Return” payments as long as I get them all in by April 15?
Yes, each of the sites allows you make two extension payments and two current return payments per year.
