The problem with this statement is the underlying message is that at some point the future is going to be bad. I just don’t believe that. Sure, there will be bumps, but the human race will progress onwards and upwards in ways we can’t currently imagine. I always want myself and future generations to be a part of that by holding global (? Interplanetary) equities.All the advice you''ll receive here is based on the assumption that the future will look more or less like the past. Eventually, it won't, but I think it's very hard, perhaps almost impossible, to plan for that moment. So maybe it's better to follow the herd. I do.
