Personal Investments • buying mutual funds seems easier than buying ETFs

I can log into Fidelity and place an order right now for an ETF and specific it for "Market Open" tomorrow. Does Schwab not allow this?
No Schwab does not. And that would not solve my problem--see subsequent comments by bonesly.

Somewhere along the line I became convinced that ETFs were "better", in terms of income tax treatment, CGDs, and other features. Clearly they each have their pros and cons, but all in all, In retrospect, I wish I'd stuck with mutual funds. Sure, I don't know what share price I'll get after market close the following day, but I do know (1) that my order will execute, and (2) exactly how many dollars I'll be investing. I'd be happy to let the number of shares float, right down to several decimal places. Seems ETFs don't work that way, alas.
