I have a paper check that I attempted to deposit via my phone with IBKR. The app failed with a "Check Rejected. Could not recognize your check". I routinely deposit checks without issues, the problem seems to be this particular check. It looks fine to me, and I made several attempts.
I've tried to reach out to IBKR several times via messaging. I get an AI generated response which is unhelpful, it doesn't understand the issue. Phone wait times for IBKR are ridiculous and I've long given up on that.
What are my options now? I've spent literally months getting this check issued (that's a whole different story), and don't want to ask the issuer to send a replacement.
Note that I've written "For mobile deposit at UMB Bank FFC IBKR Only" as a part of the mobile deposit attempt. I'd prefer to go to perhaps a local Fidelity branch if they accept check deposits (?) and deposit it there just to get this problem over with, but wouldn't this note in the endorsement area be a problem?
