Present age 58, dual engineer income for 1.5 times (wife quit for 10 years raising kids). Never more than 200K salary (me). Have lived in $150K house for 30 years. Drive older cars.

Year - Age - NW
1992 - 22 - 0
1994 - 24 - -95K (marriage - House - Car)
.
.
.
2010 - 43 - 1.02M (mostly from paying house off in a couple years and maxing both 401Ks)
2011 - 44 - 1.1M (Bought into my company ESOP with half of my IRA - big gamble)
.
.
.
2019 - 52 - 2.6M
2020 - 53 - 3.1M
2021 - 54 - 4.1M
2022 - 55 - 4.5M
2023 - 56 - 5.2M
2024 - 57 - 6.2M
2025 - 58 - 6.8M

4M is from buying into a small company ESOP that has grown from $250K to $4M. So, take that away and it would be around 2.4M just maxing 401Ks. I never paid much attention to the investments in our 401ks, just clumsily threw it in there - i.e. target date funds. I did pay attention to debt, hate it. I only started really looking at investments here in the last month or so here on BH. I am on a 25% / year ESOP diversification schedule and if I retire next year can get all of it transferred to my 401K or IRA.
good progression ! Albeit a bit concerning that $4M (60% of your networth) is tied up in your small Co. single stock.

There just be a typo or something about your age 22 in 1992. Could it be 1990 ? i asked google AI engine about if someone is 58 years old today in 2025, what be their age in 1992 - it returned age 25.

Great steady NW progress indeed!
