An August 20, 2025 article from Vanguard, Fading small-cap premium and softer U.S. labor market, says "quality small-caps have become cheap compared with large-caps" and that

Do you agree with them? Any views on XSHQ, Invesco S&P SmallCap Quality ETF?
I don’t know the future and neither do they. Stay the course.

Also, the market knows all about these metrics and has already priced in these expectations. It’s far too late to take advantage given Vanguard published it a week ago.
Not really. High valuations and low valuations can last a long time.

I would not want to chase the hot stuff but as investors learn and their risks change, age and other factors nothing wrong with changing your portfolio.

I have moved to. 70/30 portfolio over the last several years from a 100% stock. I am older now.

Would stay the course require me to not change my portfolio?

Markets can also be wrong.
