Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Should I take a new job opportunity?

More money is always a positive, but I don't know if it is worth leaving a role and management team I'm comfortable with. At the same time I don't want to be seen as someone who doesn't take his career seriously with no ambition to grow and be promoted.
Being too comfortable in your current position can be a danger flag in itself.
This one seems very straight-forward: If you applied several years ago for the same position, you are even more qualified now. It also speaks well of you that you are loyal to your new hires and your existing team, but you can mitigate the effects of your departure with a clear cut transition plan for your replacement. No one would question you seeking a promotion.

Your fear of not wanting to be seen as someone who doesn't take his career seriously with no ambition is valid. If you want to remain with your current employer, it also doesn't look like this position opens up very often. You need to at least apply for the new opportunity
Agree with this 100%.
