Personal Investments • taxable: biweekly rebalance with new money?

For those investing in taxable accts, independent of allocation in tax deferred. Do you add money each month in the same proportion of stock vs bond, or do you make your investment variable as to whcih asset is needed to be in larger proportion monthly, to get you closer to your desired asset allocation? Pros and cons?
By adjusting each month, in an effort to get closer to your desired asset allocation, you eliminate the ability to do automatic (pre-scheduled) investments by dollar amount. Which I suppose is either a pro or a con (or both) depending on your point of view.

I used automatic investments. Adjusting the amounts once every year or two is probably sufficient.
