In the resume, list your job title, company’s name and dates of employment; then list the primary job duties you performed that are relevant to the types of roles you will be applying to — that’s it, no need to have details of the separation on the resume. So I just got fired today from a job I have had for just 5 months. My question is how do you list that on a resume and explain that to in your next interview?
The position was similar as to what I was doing previously but it took me apparently too long to learn the new company's systems and new responsibilities, so I am now out of a job.
If it comes up in the interview: I accepted a new role that provided me with new growth opportunities. Unfortunately, the new company used a platform I was not familiar with and I was unable to re-train as quickly as my new employer had hoped.
