I'm not the one you were addressing, but you can use Clamshell AV if you wish, but really, UBlock Origin is your friend. It's not just an ad-blocker or a content-blocker, it's a malware-blocker. Enable one or more of the hosts files along with the other malware options and you'll be covering most threats. And again, you'll be especially safe if you enable javascript only on a case by case basis (something you can do within UBlock Origin).Are there some ways to buttress Linux Mint to thwart such things... on my Windoze machine I run malwarebytes, and use the standard Windoze firewall and antivirus... Antivirus for Linux Mint?...
