The number that concerns me is your extremely high expenditure. Spending that much annually on the coasts is one thing, but for your region (I write from first hand experience), that is a heck of a lot of money to spend for a family with a paid off house.
Lawd have mercy "extremely high expenditure" is $145k/yr for a family?!
Yes, this would be the plan. My husband would continue to work until ago 60 (2031). We would not withdraw from our retirement accounts until his retirement and his job would cover our healthcare costs.
To the OP: I'd suggest you log on to other forums such as "ChubbyFire" (or "Fire" has an even larger group of participants) on Reddit and ask whether you have enough to stop working. I think you'll find very different answers than here.

Your net worth (I'm guessing close to $4MM when you include your paid-off home) puts you around the top 4-8% of all Americans, yet Bogleheads still think you need more. I think the participants on this forum have become increasingly conservative over the 10 years I've been here.
