Really mid-September? That's earlier than Vanguard indicated in previous emails. Did they say anything more about this, such as details of exactly what these restrictions would be? I received an email in the first week of September, saying there would be restrictions on my account starting mid-September.
My recollection is that back in January Vanguard promised that they would "send more information" later in 2025. So far, only silence. And I've not seen any message telling me the same thing, despite being in the same situation as you.
Unfortunately, not an option. The OP is a non-resident alien, and Vanguard's invented "policy" prevents NRAs from switching. For NRAs stuck on Vanguard's legacy mutual fund only platform, the only choices are: live with Vanguard's restrictions, or transfer out. That's it.Are you going to switch to the Vanguard brokerage platform?
