Sign up bonuses when I can, otherwise a pretty boring lineup of AOD Signature Visa for non-category, , an army of Citi Custom Cash spread across various categories, and Amex BCP for grocery (wife and I rotate each year, one will downgrade to free card and then other tends to get an upgrade offer the next year for waived annual fee and small bonus), US Bank Cash+ with PayPal ACI for federal taxes, and my latest addition this year has been using PayPal debit card at Costco.

For years I still have my eyes on the PCMCU MasterCard, but their membership geofence is very tight and has not budged over the years.
How do you get a waived annual fee every year for the upgrade? This year they offered me $75 to upgrade, but they didn't waive the annual fee.
Nothing special that I'm aware of. I do keep an eye on the offers through the normal web account though. We've both had accounts since 2017. 2021 we downgraded to the free versions of the card. 2022 I was offered an upgrade with $75+AF waived. I downgraded in 2023 and then my wife happened to get a $75+AF waived offer in 2023. She downgraded in 2024 and then I got $150+AF waived offer in 2024 (this one was in the app specifically, not the desktop website). And then finally in 2025 I downgraded again and then my wife again got an upgrade offer for $75+AF waived.

So we seem to be caught in this really nice holding pattern where one of us downgrades for a year and the other also happens to get an upgrade offer for one year, and then the roles switch the following year, etc.
