Per M* the fund’s average credit rating is an A+. One might wonder why a fund with a fairly high credit rating has a 7%+ distribution, especially for munis.

Please take a look at CEFConnect.com for this fund, and specifically the Distributions tab. You will find that approximately 50% of the distributions are ROC (Return of Capital). I believe this explains the high distribution rate.

The time-honored maxim of “There’s no free lunch” definitely applied here.
