Do we know what the scaling interest will be based on balance? I had opened a preferred deposit with 100k but have since just been keeping 1k in the balance. If it's too low, I might just give up on it.Per the Statement Enclosure in my Merrill Edge account, changes are coming to Preferred Deposit.On or before December 1, 2025 (“Effective Date”), we are making changes to Preferred Deposit® and Preferred Deposit for Business®.
• The Preferred Deposit balance in your brokerage account will determine the interest rate you may earn on Preferred Deposit.
• Preferred Deposit for Business will be converted to Preferred Deposit.
There is no action that you need to take. These changes will not impact how you access your funds in Preferred Deposit and you will continue to earn interest without disruption.
