I am on a committee to plan investments for a nonprofit foundation. I would like a boglehead approach (3 fund, simple) but the committee wants us to work with a financial adviser to make the investments. If we know the funds we want but don't want to be the ones pushing the buttons to buy the shares, is there a way to do this without paying someone 1% or more in management fees? What else am I missing?
