Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Fidelity as a one stop shop

I use Fidelity only for my "checking" account. If something were to happen with a long hold or lockdown, I don't think it is the end of the world. I would be pissed for sure. My options:

1) My spouse has an account at a local bank. It is "their" account but my name is also on it and I can use it if I have to.
2) I can probably go online or to a local branch and in an hour open up a checking account.
3) If none of those works I could ask another family member or friend for short-term banking assistance.

If you are living paycheck to paycheck and money is tight I think the situation is different.
I have enough accounts and keep longer-term stuff well-distributed. I do use a Fidelity CMA as my day-to-day checking but I no longer deposit the rare check to Fidelity via their app due to too many problems (most recently, a deposit was rejected hours later for being “unsigned”. It was although it wasn’t all that dark but that told me the rejection was entirely automated with no human taking a second look. And since it was automated, why was the rejection not immediate. So I have no confidence in their app deposit system). I do have other places to deposit checks although annual checks received can be counted on one hand at this point.
