My bottom line at purchase and install six months ago was 15k with a lot of DIY to reduce costs.Are you sure you can get a full on hot tub for $5000? Sounds low if you are talking installed cost. Also don't forget operating costs. They should not be huge but they are real.
I can offer that the spend on my hot tub is right at 100 a month. That's for Pacific Northwest. I know many people in colder locations actually turn the spa off in winter due to costs.
