No due to conservation of energy; but it will keep your refer cooler longer if the power goes out.I get these ice packs that are filled with some type of gel or liquid type substance with my deliveries when the ordered items need to be kept cold. I have ended up getting quite a lot of them. So what I am wondering is, if every now and then, I transfer them out of the freezer (they get rock hard in the freezer) into the fridge, does it actually save some energy by keeping my fridge cooler than it would otherwise be and using less energy?
