It’s my understanding that proposed regs are treated as official policy until otherwise indicated - do you agree? I know in the past when I edited the prior version of this page and similar pages I included changes coming from proposed regs, and noted them as such.
However, there is no chance that the RMD age proposed Regs will be changed with respect to 1959 year of birth RMDs beginning at age 73. Age 75 will apply to those born in 1960 or later.
